Scrummy food from Ashford Farmers’ Market regular, Janet’s Street Food, served up Caribbean jerk chicken and rice to visitors, while Simply Biltong sold cured meats and locally brewed beer and ales were available from The Curious Brewery.
More than 200 youngsters embarked on an Easter Egg Hunt around the town centre, collecting letters to crack the code and get their chocolate egg reward!
Plus, the Easter Bunny hopped around the town, making surprise appearances and giving away chocolate egg treats.
There was a fabulous line-up of live music on the bandstand from Revelation Ashford, which saw local artists performing throughout the day, adding to the buzzing atmosphere.
Cllr Graham Galpin, Portfolio Holder for Corporate Property, said: “This year’s LoveAshford Easter Fun Day was excellent and we hope families, residents and visitors thoroughly enjoyed all the events and activities on offer. We had live music on the bandstand, fresh street food on the high street, and more than 200 children took part in the Easter egg hunt around the town centre. Thank you to everyone who came along to support Ashford and its hard working businesses.”
The Easter event was organised by LoveAshford.com and supported by local Ashford businesses. LoveAshford.is Ashford’s digital high street and supports local businesses and business owners by promoting local news stories, lifestyle blogs, offers and upcoming events in Ashford’s town centre.
